she's trying to destroy me

i told you that bitch was crazy.

so after a hard day, i'm talking really hard day, at work, i come home to the best boyfriend in the world and the best present a boyfriend could get a girl after that bitch is trying to destroy me (i don't even want to get into the work drama). i've been working up a frenzy transferring mp3's into my iTunes and using the gift certificate travis got me for christmas, the sweet brother in law he is (or will be next july). i call it therapy. along with the fantastic banana bread that's baking in the oven.

so we just got back from chicago recently and let me tell you how weird it is. the day we got back i was referring to someone moving "here" and by "here" i meant chicago even thought i was sitting at the bean bag cafe (or as jon calls it "the hairy sack"). i'm at the point now where both places feel like home. when i was in chicago it was like i never left. and in san francisco i fall right back into my groove.

so....the trip. upon arrival to the airport we were informed that our flight was delayed. during our 3 hour wait for the plane we sat in the airport bar/restaurant and had a fat veggieburger, bottomless cokes, and watched baseball. i mean, jesus, we were so bored we were watching baseball. i was so flustered that i almost left my ATM card in the machine. luckily jon snatched it out before it was sucked back in. after finally getting on the plane i couldn't sleep because some guy was snoring the ENTIRE TRIP. i had about 100 episodes of micro sleep. there was a screaming child in front of us whose mother was wearing an entire bottle of the most obnoxious perfume you could imagine. between that, turbulence, the country music on the tv monitor, and reruns of andy griffith, i thought i was going to need one of those air sickness bags. so after our flight being delayed for two hours we finally landed in the windy city. luckily (insert copious amounts of sarcasm) we got back to alex's house just in time for the sun to rise. that and the little cafe under his apartment to start their breakfast run with endless tables of chatterboxes.

all in all it was a good time. most of it spent running around as per usual. however, i got much needed quality dog time. and family/friends time of course. ;) i suppose i'll post pictures at some point.
