last friday was my last day of work. for a long time.

it's time to get things done. it's time to live life. we have a whole month of hangin' out before we move back to chicago. i plan on doing all the "work" i have to do this week just so it's out of the way and then i can concentrate on livin' it up in san francisco before the big road trip. i'm still waiting on one more letter of recommendation. i'm going to send out one more email to my professor. it's been two years now, you think he gets the point. then maybe i can finally start graduate school. it is only the rest of my life we're talking about here. thanks pal.

i'm doing my best to try and not spend all the money i have. it helps that most of the things i want i really shouldn't buy until we have an apartment in chicago. speaking of which, i can't wait to have a decent apartment again. renting in san francisco sucks. the rent is so high it's ridiculous. we pay $1350 for a one bedroom with parking and the place isn't even all that great. my biggest complaint is how thin the walls are. i look on craigslist for apartments in the $1100-$1300 range in chicago and i want to cry. soon there will be porches and gardens and quietness and a dog. soon, soon.
